Autism surveys and research

We are often being asked about the prevelance of autism.

To find some idea of the figures in our local area we conducted a survey of all schools that took children between the ages of 4-11. The results are in the first survey below.

While researching autism prevelance we also came across some other surveys that stood out.

We will be adding more, along with landmark policy statements and research.

Our own Paains survey carried out in our local area of North Somerset.
As many as one in 175 primary school children may suffer from autism, 11 times higher than previous estimates.
California is adding one new child every three HOURS with full-blown Level 1 DSM IV autism to the California Developmental Services system, according to a report released by the agency.
